SERVICE GUIDELINES
Thank you for choosing GREEN VALLEY RECYCLING & DISPOSAL SERVICE as your waste disposal company! We would like to share just a few guidelines for the use of our service.
RESIDENTIAL TRASH SERVICE
1. PLEASE HAVE ALL MATERIAL BY THE ROAD THE NIGHT BEFORE YOUR SERVICE DAY.
2. Michigan State Law prohibits the disposal of yard waste (leaves, grass clippings, brush, etc.) in a landfill. Please call us for information on our yard waste collection service if you require yard waste disposal.
3. Please do not put any liquids (paint, oil, etc.) out for pickup. We are prohibited by state law from disposing of this material in the landfill.
4. If you have any large items for disposal such as appliances or furniture, please call our office prior to your service day so we can arrange for pick up of this material.
5. DO NOT OVERLOAD CONTAINER! WEIGHT LIMIT IS 100 LBS.!
6. TO PREVENT THEFT OR DAMAGE TO OUR CART, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE IT AT THE ROAD THROUGHOUT THE WEEK. The cart is and remains the property of Green Valley Disposal Service, Inc. Replacement cost of $75.00 will be billed to your account for any cart lost or stolen.
7. WE ACCEPT VISA AND MASTERCARD on our secure website at www.gvds.biz, and we can automatically charge your account every billing period. We also offer E-mail billing and can take payments over the phone with a debit or credit card at no extra charge.
8. On holiday weeks, our routes will run one day late after the holiday. The holidays we observe are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.
Residential Recycling Service
This service is provided on an every-other-week basis. Material must be placed at the curb the night before your service day. All material must be placed in your RECYCLE-EASY cart.
All material must be clean and free from any food residue or other contaminants. Labels do not need to be removed from bottles, jugs and cans. Any material not properly prepared will not be collected.
RESIDENTIAL YARD WASTE SERVICE
1. Please use the 96 gallon cart labeled ”Yard Waste Only” for grass clippings, leaves, trimmings, and other plant waste.
DO NOT PUT DIRT, ROCKS, CONCRETE OR OTHER NON-YARD WASTE IN THIS CONTAINER!
2. If you have more loose yard waste than can be put into your yard waste cart, feel free to put this additional material in garbage cans or biodegradable paper bags next to your yard waste cart. Do not use plastic bags for yard waste.
YOU MAY PUT OUT UP TO 5 ADDITIONAL CANS, PAPER BAGS OR BUNDLES OF MATERIAL PER WEEK FOR COLLECTION AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. ADDITIONAL MATERIAL ABOVE THIS LIMIT WILL BE BILLED AT $3.00 PER BAG OR BUNDLE.
3. Please bundle brush in 4 foot lengths or less, and place next to your yard waste cart on collection day, keeping it small and light enough for one man to lift.
